State Rep. Saccone Tours Jefferson Regional Medical Center

Jefferson Hills, PA - March 16, 2011

State Rep. Rick Saccone (39th District) recently visited Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he toured the 373-bed hospital in Jefferson Hills and met with medical staff and administrators. He attended an employee event celebrating Jefferson Regional’s 2011 HealthGrades Awards, which included the rating of “Best in the Pittsburgh region for cardiac care, cardiology, and coronary intervention.”

Rep. Saccone also learned about Jefferson Regional’s current $17.5 million construction and renovation project on its Jefferson Hills campus that will result in expanded and modernized surgical facilities at the Medical Center. The two-year project will add six new operating rooms and renovate and enlarge the existing surgical suite, from a current total of 450 square feet to 700 square feet. It includes a two-story addition that will bring the total number of operating and procedural rooms to 20.
