Outpatient Expansion Continues for Jefferson Regional with Construction of Diagnostic Imaging Center in Bethel Park

Jefferson Hills, PA - May 26, 2010

A new free-standing center that will offer a comprehensive array of diagnostic imaging services for residents of Bethel Park and surrounding communities is under construction with plans for a July 2010 opening.

Located next to the Jefferson Regional Health Pavilion at 1000 Higbee Drive, the center will be the fourth location for JRMC Diagnostic Services, LLC, and is part of a $20 million investment in the community by Jefferson Regional Medical Center at its Bethel Park location.

 Services to be offered at JRMC Diagnostic Services, Bethel Park, include High Field MRI, multi-slice CT, digital mammography, digital x-ray and ultrasound. The outpatient services will complement those already offered at Jefferson Regional Health Pavilion, including a Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Center, physical therapy and occupational therapy. The center features free parking and convenient community access.

The Toshiba Vantage Titan MRI system that was delivered recently to JRMC Diagnostic Services at Bethel Park features state-of-the-art technology and the largest open bore available to accommodate larger and athletically-built persons and reduce claustrophobia, providing the highest level of patient comfort.

JRMC Diagnostic Services already provides services at offsite locations at The Waterfront Medical Building, Homestead; Jefferson Medical Arts Building, Clairton; and Brentwood Professional Plaza, Brentwood. Jefferson MRI (JMRI) is located in the South Hills Medical Building in Jefferson Hills.
