Michael Evans Appointed Vice President of Surgical Program Development

John J. Dempster, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jefferson Regional Medical Center, announces the appointment of Michael J. Evans as Vice President of Surgical Program Development, effective September 12, 2011.
Mr. Dempster said Mr. Evans brings more than 30 years of diverse experience and accomplishment in healthcare to this important new role that supports Jefferson Regional Medical Center’s priorities of continued growth and quality.
“Mike’s focus will be on assuring that our expanded surgical capacity and our new operating rooms are effectively optimized and that we serve the needs of our community as close to home as possible,” Mr. Dempster said.
Before joining Jefferson Regional’s administrative team, Mr. Evans was Chief Operating Officer of Revenue Cycle Solutions, LLC, in Pittsburgh. He formerly held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Highlands Hospital and at Brownsville Hospital, and he held other executive-level positions at Forbes Health System and St. Francis Health System.
He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master’s of Public Health degree with a concentration in healthcare administration, and Brown University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. His professional affiliations include the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
