Manuel Torres Named Director of Emergency and Retail Clinic Services

Manuel Torres, MS, RN, was named director, Emergency and Retail Clinic Services, for Jefferson Regional Medical Center. In addition to his duties overseeing the operation of the Jefferson Hills hospital’s Emergency Department, he is responsible for directing Jefferson Regional’s retail medical care initiative at two Clinics at Walmart Operated by Jefferson Regional Medical Center in West Mifflin and Belle Vernon.

Torres formerly was the director of clinical operations for STAT MedEvac, a division of the Center for Emergency Medicine of Western Pennsylvania, where he also had served as clinical manager, base site manager, and as a staff flight nurse.  He held several emergency nurse positions at Pittsburgh area hospitals, including Jefferson Regional, and prior military service with the U.S. Army as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant.

Torres earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Duquesne University and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree at Community College of Allegheny County. 

His other credentials include: Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse (PHRN), and Certified Medical Transport Executive (CMTE).
