Forward Township Nurse Honored with Cameos of Caring Award
Linda Beetlestone, a registered nurse on Jefferson Regional Medical Center’s Medical Progressive Care Unit, has been selected as this year’s Cameos of Caring Award(R) winner. Linda, of Forward Township, will represent Jefferson Regional at the 14th Annual Cameos Awards Gala on Nov. 3 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh.
“Linda is a true patient advocate,” said Jennifer Neff, RN, who nominated her for the award. “Whether it is setting limits, keeping her patients safe, or answering questions from the patients or families, Linda moves through her day without thinking of herself, while doing the right thing for her patients and co-workers.”
Linda said she chose nursing as her career because of her parents, who “are very loving and giving people. Becoming a nurse lets me continue with their same traits, which makes me feel great about helping others.” She has worked at Jefferson Regional for 34 years, 29 of them as a registered nurse. She and her husband, Ralph Nevin, have two children, Aimee and Justin.
Also nominated by their peers for the Cameos Award were: Cynthia Andrews, 5 East; Rose Stefanyszyn, PACU; Michele Jackson, 3 North; Brad Manown, 5 North; Tracey Hynes, SSU; Kimberly Newbould, JSC; Keli Aglio, 3 East; Sandee Seeley, 4 East; Nancy Shaffer, ICU; Kenzie Furlong, ICU; Mary Jo Krasnevich, ICU; Missy Keefer, CVU, and Carol Schaar, 4 West.
