Nearly 300 golfers and 62 dinner guests celebrated the 25th anniversary of Jefferson Regional Medical Center Foundation’s Health Concern Program Golf
Benefit. Held on June 28 at St. Clair Country Club and Valley Brook Country Club, the event raised a net total of $159,565, an increase of more than $4,000 from last year.
Monies raised from this year’s outing bring the total funds raised in 25 years of golf outings to more than $3.5 million. Proceeds from the event benefit the
Medical Center’s Health Concern Program, an indigent care fund that provides healthcare services to the under-insured and uninsured.
The golf outing is supported by hundreds of advertisers, tee sponsors and auction donors. Attendees included physicians, board members, employees, vendors and community members. The event was chaired by James Graham, chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors, and co-chaired by Timothy Honkala, MD.
In addition to Dr. Honkala and Graham, members of the Health Concern Golf Benefit Committee were Terry Bilkey; Jamie Bongiorno-Deyarmin; Ambaram
Chauhan, MD; Richard Collins, Jr., MD; John Dempster; Christopher Dooley, MD; John Echement; Kenneth Evancic; Gary L. Evans; Arnold Fingeret,
MD; Robert Frank; JoAnne Hahey; Sister Nancy Hupert, CSJ; Richard Klosky; Michael Lewis; Deborah Machi; William J. (Pat) Magnotti; Charles Modispacher; Donald Persinski and Thomas Timcho.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch stopped by at Valley Brook to say hello to the golfers and thank them for attending. The Medical Center supports the Best of the Batch Foundation. The silent auction included autographed sports
memorabilia, jewelry, get-away weekends and golf packages.
