Jefferson Regional Medical Center will offer two free educational programs for the community in December.
Jefferson Regional Senior Services will sponsor “Costs, Coverage & Comparisons: Medicare Insurance Plans,” on Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Jefferson Room, Bibro Pavilion, on the Medical Center campus, 565 Coal Valley Road, Jefferson Hills. The program will feature individual appointments for Medicare plan comparisons, screening for eligibility for PACE/PACENET drug programs and information on drug and Medicare assistance programs. Registration is required by calling 412-469-7099. Refreshments and free parking will be available.
The Health for Her initiative at the Medical Center will offer “Life’s Stress and the Mind-Body Connection” on Thursday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 7 pm., also in the Jefferson Room. The speaker will be Joseph Cvitkovic, PhD, Director, Behavioral Health, Jefferson Regional. He will discuss how different treatments can help manage stress and improve one’s overall health status. The program will include stress reduction exercises. Registration is required; call 412-469-7100. Free parking will be provided and light refreshments will be served.
