For many people recovering from or living with illness, the support of others is a source of immeasurable strength. Support Groups can offer you a stable environment for both education and sharing your personal experience. The following programs hold meetings at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Wednesdays, 8 p.m. James Bibro Pavilion, Jefferson Regional Medical Center Alateen For teenage family members of alcoholics. Wednesdays, 8 p.m. James Bibro Pavilion, Jefferson Regional Medical Center Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) For alcohol abusers. Wednesdays, 8 p.m. J-Cafe, Jefferson Regional Medical Center Caregiver Support Group Discussion group open to caregivers including relatives and friends of caregivers. Topics deal with support issues, burnout and stress. First Tuesday of each month, 2 to 3:30 p.m. 3 Southwest Conference Room, Jefferson Regional Medical Center The Jefferson Cancer Support Group Provides a free support for those adults and their loved ones to help them effectively cope with the emotional impact of the diagnosis of cancer. This group is offered with support from the Cancer Caring Center. The group meets the second Tuesday of every month in the J-Café Vending area from 7pm to 8pm. To register call 412-469-7100.
