Hypnosis

Jefferson Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health Care provides hypnosis and hypnotherapy on an outpatient and inpatient basis.  Hypnosis is a form of therapy that essentially involves helping person reach a state of highly concentrated and focused attention.  We all experience hypnotic states throughout the day.  For example, when you are reading a good book or watching an interesting movie that absorbs your attention, you are in a state of hypnosis.

Psychologists and other skilled therapists have discovered over the years that this hypnotic or concentrated state of attention can be very helpful in assisting the healing process of many different types of problems and conditions.  For example, hypnosis can be very helpful in alleviating pain conditions, assisting with weight loss and smoking cessation, or the reduction of anxiety, panic attacks and fears.  Hypnosis can also be helpful in the treatment of depression, obsessive-compulsive conditions, and a number of other types of difficulties.

Our skilled psychologists and therapists are trained and certified to provide the most professional and helpful methods of hypnosis to assist you in accomplishing your goals through the use of the most beneficial hypnotherapy methods for you.
