AARP Driver Safety
The AARP Driver’s Safety Program is the nation's first and largest driver improvement program designed for mature drivers. The course is open to AARP members and non-members of all ages, and there are no tests. The cost for the program is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.
The course covers topics such as defensive driving, new traffic laws and rules of the road, techniques for handling left turns and right-of-way, and understanding new car safety technology.
Those who complete the two-day (8 total hours) program may be eligible to receive insurance discounts.
Refresher Course:
If you’ve already taken the 8-hour course but would like to brush up on your skills, we also offer is a 1-day (4 total hours) refresher course for those who have completed the two-day course within the last 3 years.
All classes are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Jefferson Room of the James Bibro Pavilion at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
