Community Health Programs
We believe that a community hospital should be much more than a place to receive treatment for illness — it should be a resource for healthy living.

That's why you can turn to us for community health programs available near your home throughout the year, such as:
  • our popular senior exercise programs, including yoga, aerobics, and stretch-and-tone
  • free screenings for potential health problems
  • classes providing information on topics ranging from Parkinson's Disease to heartburn to arthritis to orthopedics
We also enjoy celebrating healthy living with local residents through activities such as:
  • an annual cancer survivors luncheon
  • an annual benefit golf outing
  • Health for Her events at Jefferson Regional
  • "Well Worth It" program at locations in your community, such as the Wal-Mart Pharmacy in West Mifflin, offering free health education programs and screenings throughout the year. We welcome retired nurses to assist with blood pressures in this program. No current license or liability insurance required. Minimal investment of time. Please call Community Outreach at 412-469-7038.
  • speakers for community organizations (limitations may apply)
You can learn more about upcoming activities at our Calendar of Events or by calling (412) 469-7100.
