American Heart Association/American Stroke Association 2011 Get with the Guidelines® Heart Failure Bronze Achievement Award The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recogizes Jefferson Regional Medical Center for achieving at least 90 consecutive days of 85% or higher adherence to all Get with the Guidelines® program quality indicators to improve quality of patient care and outcomes. 2010 Get with the Guidelines® Stroke Silver Plus Performance Achievement Award Jefferson Regional Medical Center consistently followed the treatment guidelines in ACTION Reigstry®- GWTG^TM for four consecutive quarters and met a performance standard of 85% for specific performance measures to receive this 2010 Award.
Highmark Blue Distinction Center® The Joint Care Center, a division of the Orthopedic Institute, earned the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission and is designated a Highmark Blue Distinction Center® for Knee and Hip Replacement.
Fine Award for Teamwork Excellence in Healthcare A multidisciplinary clinical team at Jefferson Regional Medical Center won the 2010 Gold Award at the 3rd annual Fine Awards sponsored by The Fine Foundation and the Jewish Healthcare Foundation for its entry, “Eliminating Ventilator Associated Pneumonia in the ICU.” The unit has not had a case of ventilator-associated pneumonia since first quarter, 2009.
