Jefferson Regional Medical Center offers the "Take Control of Your Diabetes" diabetes education program to teach those with diabetes, their family members or loved ones, self-management skills to enable them to successfully manage this disease.

This program, which is presented in four classes per session, is recognized by the American Diabetes Association for meeting quality standards, and is taught by Certified Diabetic Educators.

Cancer Survivors are Invited to Attend 21st Annual Survivors Day Celebration

Jefferson Regional Medical Center will hold its 21st annual Cancer Survivors Day on Sunday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Jefferson Room, Bibro Pavilion, on the Medical Center campus, 565 Coal Valley Road, Jefferson Hills.

The free event includes light lunch, refreshments, entertainment and an inspirational talk by Joseph Cvitkovic, PhD, director, Behavioral Health, on the topic, “Change your Words, Change your World.” Cancer survivors and one guest each are welcome to join in the celebration. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Call 412-469-7100 to register.

Ortho1Call: One Step to Quality Orthopedic Care

 Jefferson Regional Medical Center is offering patients a new service aimed at taking the hassle out of navigating the often complicated process of obtaining musculoskeletal care.

Ortho1Call is designed to expedite and coordinate care for patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries who can’t wait weeks or even months to consult with a specialist for an evaluation of pain or injury to bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles.

The new service for orthopedic patients is available now and takes only One Step.

Stroke Program Earns Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award

Jefferson Regional Medical Center has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.  The award recognizes Jefferson Regional’s commitment to and success in implementing excellent care for stroke patients, according to evidence-based guidelines.

AARP Driver Safety

The AARP Driver’s Safety Program is the nation's first and largest driver improvement program designed for mature drivers. The course is open to AARP members and non-members of all ages, and there are no tests. The cost for the program is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.
